Denise Whiteman, PT

Denise has known since high school exactly what she wanted to do with her life and has been doing it more than twenty years. She graduated from Buckholy High School in Gainesville, Florida where she worked with several sports teams. She received her B.S. in athletic training from Springfield College in Springfield, MA. In college she worked with field hockey, women's gymnastics and football teams. She earned her Masters of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University School of Medicine in 1994.

Denise's first job fresh out of PT school was at the Hughston Sports Medicine Clinic in Columbus, GA. While working there over three years she worked full time in the outpatient clinic and provided support for the orthopedic physicians to provide sports medicine coverage at a variety of community events. Some of these included satellite clinics, military rugby tournaments, high school wrestling tournaments, semi-professional football games, junior college football, and high school football. She as a medical volunteer at the Olympics in Atlanta, GA. She has practiced physical therapy in a large variety of settings from outpatient to skilled nursing facility.

Denise is married to her husband, Larry who is an avid fisherman. His career with UPS is the reason they are in this area since 2010. She has two beautiful active daughters Kaylee and Stephanie who attend Larue County Schools.
